Donald Cleckner became a Mission Operations Engineer for SAGE III/ISS in mid-2019. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 2017. While working on his undergraduate degree, he performed work as an engineering intern at NASA Langley Research Center working on control software and instrumentation for the High Spectral Resolution Lidar 2 (HSRL2) and High Altitude Lidar Observatory (HALO) instruments. After graduation, he continued to work on these projects as an Associate Electrical Engineer until he joined the SAGE III/ISS team in 2019.

Outside of work, Donald enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including hiking, martial arts, and working with animals.
